Painting in Penn

Sessions :
Tuesday morning 9.30am-12noon
Tuesday  afternoon 1.30pm- 4.00pm
 Wednesday afternoon : 1.30pm - 4.00pm
Wednesday evening 6.30-9.00pm

The classes are available for all adults irrespective of their artistic background and levels of attainment.
Some are beginners, starting afresh, whilst others are more towards intermediate and are developing further their artistic skills.

Each session costs £5 and each artist is considered as their own free spirit.

There are no set themes but they are invited to follow my scheme if they think that it is appropriate for their individual needs.
The classes do tend towards water colour landscape, but some choose oils, pastel, acrylic and/or  pen and ink and wash
Tuition is mainly for basic levels and a new start as a hobby.
After enrolling on to  the scheme the new entries are invited to an induction fortnight;  the first week is about the ethos of the scheme and what it is able to provide, whilst the second week concerns painting equipment and components.  The induction period is mandatory.
At the induction, each new amateur artist is given a book on Painting In Penn explaining its aims and objectives.  Also these artists are given free access to an extensive library of instructional art books and DVDs.
In September,  all the artists are given the opportunity to showcase their works at the Annual Exhibition, which is non-selective and has no judging panel criteria.
Also, the amateur artists are invited to attend an external 1 day weekend workshop which is  supported by visiting professional national and international artists from across the UK.
