Morning choir

Our Morning Choir is led by musical director Carly Birchell and is for anyone who loves to sing.

There are no auditions or tryouts, everyone is welcome whether they you have been in a choir before and can bring your experience or have no experience but would like to ‘give it a go’.

Carly has been a member of our church for many years and been the pioneer and creator of the popular “Sling Swing” for mums and babies. She now uses her creative ability to attract and inspire a new group of adults and children to sing for our 10am family service.

The morning Choir is friendly, relatively informal and inviting. They sing a mix of traditional and contemporary style hymns and anthems. It aims to be accessible to everyone of all ages and abilities.  Children can join from the age of 7. The uniform for the young people during the services is purple hoodies.

The choir meets for rehearsals on Mondays at 4pm. As part of this rehearsal, Carly gives free singing tuition. This develops musical ability and leads to the young people gaining ABRSM singing grades which can be used as UCAS points when applying for university.

If you would like to join our morning service choir, just come along to church any Monday after school during term times between 4 and 6. Or as an adult please talk to Carly after the Sunday Service.

WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU!
