If so please contact the church office or Saskia on saskia.poller@gmail.com

MAF and its partners provide help, peace, joy and love to isolated people across the developing world, they will provide disaster relief when devastation happens. It is an amazing charity.

We have had a fantastic response and we will be in touch very soon with planning the way forward. If anyone still wishes to put their name forward, there is still time.We need your full name, phone number and email address if you have one. Take care and May God Bless you, Donna.
LIVING FAITH The Diocesan disciple course will run again at St Bart’s from Wednesday 22nd September,
7.30pm in the Church Hall Lounge. If you want to learn more about the Christian faith, this is a fantastic course that follows the church year, so what we discuss on the course enhances what we are hearing about on a Sunday in church. If you are interested please speak to Rev Ben, Rev Alison or leave your details with the Parish Office.
We are delighted to be holding a Flower Festival this year from 25th – 27th September. Joy would be very grateful to see photographs/pictures of Old Penn if you have them. Please contact her via the Parish Office on 576809.
Margaret needs many cakes! Please contact her on 343528 or 07495 159635.
Ann Quigley is collecting items for the Plant Stall at the Festival over that weekend. If you have anyplants/cuttings, please contact her on 331509.
Many of us will remember Rev. Philip Swan who served here for a few years and has always been a great friend to us here in Penn. After he left here, he continued to be world mission officer but is now retiring. What is rather nice is that he’s requested his farewell service to be in St Bart's. The service will be 5:30 pm on Sunday fifth of September and everybody is welcome to come. The preacher will be the Bishop of Lichfield, our band will be playing and there will be video messages from across the world including Anthony Arul and Catherine Crawley.
Calling all Sidespersons, Readers, Intercessors!
After 18 months of having only a limited number of staff carrying out these roles, we have decided that in October, it would be lovely to go back to having Sidespersons, Readers and Intercessors on duty. We would love it if all our wonderful team returned to fulfil their roles. I am currently putting together the rotas for the months of October, November and December. If you wish to be included on these rotas, please speak to either Cath Pugh or myself, telephone me on 01902 337478 or email me at annegedwards@yahoo.co.uk
We should also be delighted to welcome new members onto the team. We are a very friendly group of people and will help you in any way we can. Now is a very good time to consider offering your services to God and St Bart’s as a way of thanking God that St Bart’s has continued to be open for worship, whenever we were able to come to Church.
The more people we have on board, the fewer times you will be on duty. Generally duties normally occur about once a month.
Thank you and God BlessAnne Edwards, Church Warden.
LITTLE ACORNS PLAYGROUPHELPERS NEEDED!!!

Our group will hopefully start running again from the 14th September 9.00am until 11.00am term-time only.If you would like any more information, please call Donna Williams on 07546527300.Thank you & God Bless.

1. | A new beginning - schools, colleges, and many returning to the workplace after the long lockdown, people going out after staying in for many months. We pray for those with mental health problems who are afraid to go out. |
2. | We pray for all who work in our schools that they will have wisdom and grace in all their relationships. We pray for staff and pupils that they will know how to work safely without fear. |
3. | Today we pray for Catherine, now living in the UK and working as an administrator for a church in North London. Give her peace and wisdom at all times and help her to make friends in this new situation. |
4. | We give thanks for our church wardens, Anne and Catherine, and pray that they will have wisdom in all their duties. We also pray for Sue in the Parish Office and Dean our treasurer. |
5. | SUNDAY We give thanks for all our clergy, Ben, Alison, Roberta, Glynne and Deb and Su. We are so privileged to have such a great team who share the ministry and support each other. |
6. | We pray today for all who live in our care homes. Show those who work in the homes how to build warm relationships with residents while keeping everyone safe from infection. |
7. | We pray for Melissa as she is part of a team which shares the Alpha course with people in the Middle East. They also reach out to the many refugees in the area, helping them when they can. |
8. | We pray for the people of Jordan and other Middle Eastern countries. We remember those who are very poor and often go hungry and for those who seek to help them by taking food to them. |
9. | We pray for prisoners after their release, that firms will be willing to employ them and give them a chance to have a fresh start and rebuild their lives. May those who come to faith in prison find support and fellowship after their release. |
10. | Qu’Appelle, Canada - we pray for the clergy and people of this province, especially those in the many small churches without an ordained minister, and the lay people who lead the services. |
11. | We pray for the people of Afghanistan at this difficult time of change. Many have died, and many are afraid.
|
