Revised Covid 19 Plan July 2021.
Following the Government’s decision to lift almost all restrictions, some people will be glad of their new found “freedom”. For others however, this an anxious time - especially as there is a continuing increase in the number of reported cases. We want church to be a safe place for everyone and so the PCC feel that we need to proceed with caution.
For this reason we have decided that, for the moment, people should continue to wear their masks or face shields in Church. This will help people who would worry about sitting close to someone not wearing a face covering.
We are delighted to allow singing during services. We do strongly ask however, that people only sing if they are wearing either a mask or face shield. This is because Covid 19 is primarily an airborne virus.  Hymn books will be available but please leave them on the pews when you leave. The choirs will now be able to sing at services but will remain socially distanced.
We will continue with sharing of the Peace, receiving Communion and departure from Church after services as we have done over the last few months. We will sanitise and ventilate the building, show you to your seat and maintain social distancing in the pews as we have been doing.
We will dispense with the Track and Trace papers but the QR code is available on entry to church for those who would like to use it. We will also end the need to have someone sanitising your hands before Communion but sanitisers will remain in place around the Church for personal use.
We will do a risk assessment for the services and we will review the situation in early September.
We hope that these procedures will help you to feel safe in our Churches. We look forward to seeing you. If you require any help or wish to ask any questions please speak to Revd Ben or the Church Wardens.

Please bring a carrier bag of washed single use plastic, to create “Penn Plastic Island” on Saturday 24thJuly, to the green space besides Warstones Library, opposite the shops on Warstones Drive. Then on Sunday 25th July people are invited to come to see Alex Van a local artist and his team from Real Arts Workshop, transform the plastic into the tail of a whale in a sea of grass.
