Compton Hospice Christmas Quiz - Number 30: IT'S QUIZ TIME AGAIN!!!
Norman Schofield's Annual Competition in aid of Compton Hospice. Please support the cause, and if you would, take a few copies for friends and colleagues.

Police Community Support Officers: Over the next few months our local officers will be making appointments via the church office to meet all our hirers and church groups.
All groups will be notified of the date and time that the officers will be arriving to visit your group. They will visit Coffee Morning on Monday 25th November. This new initiative within PCSO is to get to know the local community better and support and address any issues that you may have. Next year we will be having an Open Day in the hall as a Community Support Day and will be advertised locally with PCSO. Donna
Our bi-monthly newsletter is now underway; we are looking for new and exciting ideas for content. The Prayers for Healing Group thanks everyone who has put prayer requests on the board at the back of church. We prayed for everyone last Monday. Please can you also post updates so we can give thanks and praise to God when people are healed.
Friends of St Bart's and St Anne's: We now have packs of lovely Christmas cards available for you to purchase with all proceeds going towards the Friends of St Bart's and St Anne's who support our wonderful Choir and contribute directly to maintaining our magnificent Churches. The pack of 8 cards (2 copies of 4 different pictures) will cost £4. The packs can be obtained from Sue in the Parish Office 01902 576809, Revd Ben or Anne Edwards (01902 337478). The cards are all festive photos from in and around St Bart's and have been taken by a member of our congregation.
St Bartholomew's School Applications: Could parents please give us a brief history of their worship at St Bart's, along with the Supplementary Information Form, so that we can accurately complete the form. We check all of the applications carefully for accuracy.
CHRISTMAS FAYRE
Saturday 30th November 2019
Christmas is upon us once more and we would be grateful for any donations for this year's Christmas Fayre and we would like your help in making this year's event a great day for all.
As always, we rely on your support and generosity to provide items for the stalls:
Raffle Prizes; Auction Items; Bric-a-Brac; Male Gifts/items; Crafts; Cakes bought/made; Jewellery; Mince Pies/Christmas puds; Bottled/Jar items; Toiletries; Children's items/gifts; Bottles/tins of alcohol; Christmas gifts; Tombola Prizes; Hamper gifts; Chocolate Santa/advent gifts;
Hamper gifts - Anything you feel that could contribute to a Hamper - for pets, baking, holidays, a film night, an evening pamper, Tea & cakes, toiletries, any contribution would be fantastic.
Thanks for your generous donations towards our Book Fair in June; we will not be requiring anymore books for our Christmas Fayre this year.
Any items can be brought to the Church Oakroom Foyer, and we would be grateful if they came in small boxes only so they are easier for us to carry. Thank you.
Any fresh cakes can be delivered from the Friday afternoon and placed in the Oakroom kitchen and also the Saturday morning before 10am, Thank you.
If you can volunteer to help set up on Friday 29th November from 4pm onwards in the Hall we would love to hear from you, or to help on a stall. Also we would be grateful for any support to clear away as soon as the Fayre has finished - Please contact Donna on 07546 527300.

SUNDAY DECEMBER 15th 2019
Scratch Choir Rehearsal 2.00pm. OR Concert 5.30pm
Come sing Christmas "Scratch choir". Join us 2pm for fun rehearsals and sing with us in all of the items for the Carol concert later that day. Gaudette, Shepherds' Farewell, Torches and more plus the singalong ones.
"Scratch Choir" is a community choir that draws people from all backgrounds and walks of life. If you have an interest in singing and performing songs, (even if previously, only in the shower!), then come sing with Bart's bonanza of Christmas carols and songs. Music Provided. Any voice welcome, no prior experience needed. Tickets £6 in advance. (raising funds for choir tour next year)
