Quiz Night and Fish and Chip Supper The Friends of St Bart's and St Anne's are holding a Quiz Night and Fish and Chip Supper on Saturday 8th October 2022, at 7.30pm in the Oak Room. Please come along and join us for an evening of fun and food. The cost per person is £10.00. We will hold a raffle during the evening. We are limited to 42 people so please apply as soon as possible. Please contact Anne Edwards on 01902 337478 for a booking form or Sue in the Church office. Squash and water will be provided but feel free to bring your own drinks and glasses. All funds raised go to support the Friends. We look forward to seeing you.
Living in Love and Faith Course How do questions about identity, sexuality, relationships and marriage fit within the bigger picture of the good news of Jesus Christ? What does it mean to live in love and faith together as a Church especially in relation to lesbian, gay, transgender, bisexual and intersex people and emerging relationships in society, including marriage, civil partnership, cohabitation, celibacy and friendship?
There will be two opportunities to attend the course which will run over 5 weeks.
Thursdays 10am-12pm and 7-9pm in the Lady Chapel at St Bart’s starting 27th October and on 3rd, 10th and 24th November and finishing 1st December (there will not be a session 17th Nov)

The Well Foodbank Particularly needed right now are tinned vegetables of all kinds, especially tinned potatoes, tinned fruit, rice pudding, any other tinned puddings, rice and pasta sachets, toiletries, large size nappies. Other tinned or dried items also welcome. PLEASE AVOID out-of-date items, opened packets & fresh foods, as these cannot be used. On behalf of everyone in Painting In Penn, I would like to thank you for the wonderful support. It was a truly memorable event, enjoyed by all who visited the Exhibition and the Demonstrations, as well offering their help over the weekend.

Advancement notice- Biblically Inspired Art project
10th December 2022 11 30am to 5pm in The Oak Room.
No artistic talent needed, just come with heads and hearts open, come prepared to be led and inspired by scripture and the Holy Spirit.
All materials provided- oils, acrylics, watercolours, boards, canvases, paper, pastels, crayons, craft material and finger paints (yes really!)
The day will included brief tuition on the materials, how to use them and what effects you might achieve.
Simple lunch- homemade soup, bread and cakes.
Tea and coffee facilities throughout the day.
After lunch, the prayerful reading of a passage from the Bible through three times with prayerful active listening.
Sit with any words, phrases or images that strike you and use that to inspire your art.
It really doesn’t matter if you draw match-stalk men and match-stalk cats and dogs.
It really doesn’t matter if you doodle with the finger paints (when else do grown ups get the chance to finger paint!). Let God and scripture lead you and inspire you.
We will spend the last 20 minutes sharing (not obligatory) what inspired us and how we tried to portray that image or emotion.
