Electoral Roll – 2020 revision The church electoral roll is due to be revised during March and we want you to be on it. It’s not just a list of people who worship at St Barts & St Annes; it's a register of people who want to take an active part in the running of their church. So, before the AGM is held on April 26th, we want to give you all the chance to get onto the roll (if you’re not already), so you can take an active part in the discussions and decisions made about your church, with your money and on your behalf. Forms will be available from the 7th March either at the back or church, from the parish office or from Catherine Pugh the Electoral Roll officer. The roll will close on 31st March. Catherine Pugh Electoral Roll Officer

Dear friends,

Much has been said recently about coronavirus.

The Diocese have advised us that about the importance of maintaining good hygiene including, for example, priests and servers washing their hands and using alcohol-based hand-sanitiser before Holy Communion.

Parishioners with coughs and sneezes should certainly be encouraged to receive Communion in one kind only and to refrain from handshaking during The Peace.

For the time being we are abolishing the practice of ‘intinction’ – when the consecrated bread is dipped into the wine - as this could represents an infection transmission route.

God bless,

Preb. Ben

Please Pray for: Those for whom extra prayer is needed:

Alice Corbett, Andrea Bradley, Sarah Bayliss, Thomas Griffiths, Beryl, Brian Hopson,

Chris Finch, Deryk Vernon, Jane Green, Rita Marston, David Kingston, Katrina Jones, Edith Jackson, Megan Rawlins, Jean Broach, Joan Hollington, Lucy Harris.

SUNDAY We pray today for all who worship at St Anne’s, for Michael who leads and all who help him. We remember the families there and especially the young children.

We pray for all who come to Morning Prayer each day. We give thanks for Joy, Sally and Jo who run the Coffee Morning, and all who come. We pray for Sue in the office and Dean our Treasurer.

Today many people will be coming to Pearl’s funeral. As we give thanks for her life we pray for all who mourn the loss of a loved one.

We give thanks for all who come to Painting in Penn and for Ron who organises it. We pray for those who come to the Mid-Week Communion Service and Alison who leads it.

We pray for all those who come to Butterflies each week and all who help to make this a special time of worship. We pray for all who work with children and young people in St Bart’s Church and School.

Germany - We are asked to pray for the big Parish Fair event in Salem near Rostock, and for developing friendships with our brothers and sisters in northern Germany. Today many people are meeting to pray on this World Day of Prayer.

We give thanks and pray for all who play in the Worship Band as they lead worship this weekend. May all who come to worship meet with the Lord and be encouraged in their Christian walk.

SUNDAY We give thanks and pray for our Clergy, Ben, Alison and Roberta and all our Readers. Encourage them and strengthen them in all they do and give them wisdom in all situations.

We pray for Catherine Crawley who will be in Penn this week. May this be a refreshing and encouraging week for her as she spends time with friends. We also pray for Christians in places where they are persecuted for their faith that they will have courage.

We give thanks for all who come to Little Acorns and pray for all families and young people linked with St Bart’s. May they find the friendships and support that they need.
